Offered for sale is this very nice, very hard to find example of a "Le Petit Livreur" tin and cloth clockwork wind-up toy, made in France by Victor Bonnet c. The piece measures about 7 tall and is in great condition for its age: the colors and the detail are still quite strong, and there are no dents or breaks or seam separation of the tinplate nor any rips or holes in the cloth outfit. It does show a bit of wear, primarily to the sides of the cart and to the rims of the wheels where they make contact with the floor, and this should be evident in the pics. The mechanism works well: wind it up and the piece is propelled forward as the little boys legs fly back and forth in simulation of pushing the cart.
This little toy is very difficult to find (I could find no other examples), so don't miss this opportunity to make it your own. Please check the photos as they are intended to supplement and add to the description and they provide the best evidence as to condition.
