Vintage Smokey Joe climbing firefighter toy by Louis Marx & Co. Litho printed clockwork wind up toy scales the vertical ladder. So simple yet so mesmerizing.

SIZE Fireman is about 8" tall, ladder is 22.25" tall when assembled. Scratches and wear of the kind you might expect on a toy that was played with. Smokey Joe climbs, but often hesitates and needs a tap on the bottom of his coat to get him started again. The Stop/Start lever on the back does not appear to be working. Has been gently dusted with a brush but not cleaned or conditioned in any way, we're not messing with it!
