Rare 1939 MATARAZZO 9 Motorcycle w/Sidecar /Moto Win-Up Tin Toy no. Exceedingly rare vintage pre-war II tin toy Matarazzo #142-M Motorcycle with Touring Rider, Woman Passenger and School Boy in the rarest version of. This toy was inspired by the similar toy made in Germany by Georg Levy (GeLy). All made of lithographed and painted tinplate with clockwork mechanism. It bears the Matarazzo logo with curved "M" alone on both sides of tank, marked: "Matarazzo" and "Industria Argentina" on lower sides and Buenos Aires. This version was first shown and described as Series M, model #142 in the Matarazzo "News from 1939" (Novedades de 1939) advertising flyer shown in the in the "MATARAZZO Argentine Tinplate Toys" book by Diego Lascano and Daniel Sudalsky. All made of lithographed tinplate with clockwork mechanism.

Blue and white license plate reads "Buenos Aires 88" V-Twin model engine. Cream/blue multicolor rolled bars, frame and triple front struts.

Pressed tin dish headlighton tin triangular base, orange and cream pressed tin wheels. Rider in light blue coat, yellow trousers, gloves, and cap, yellow and orange socks and brown shoes.

Black haired woman on rear wears yellow coat, light-blue and white scarf, yellow and light-blue skirt, white stockings and orange shoes. Blue haired school boy on sidecar wears red shirt, blue short pants and bow tie. Made in Buenos Aires, Argentina, by Matarazzo & Cía, circa 1939. 9" L x 6-½" x H x 5-1/2 W (23 x 16.5 x 14 cm).
