VINTAGE WIND-UP ROBOT TIN TOM TOY INTER PLANET SPACE CAPTAIN W/ BOX JAPAN. This particular Robot is part of Tin Tom Limited Edition Early Run of 1,999 Robots made.

This one is number 0007. Doesnt get much earlier than that. Awesome top 10 production number which usually goes to the people involved with the making of these robots. Own a part of toy history! It is a reproduction of one of the rare group of robots made by Naito Shoten, Japan, in the 1950s. This is the earliest repro of this toy, which says "Made in Japan" on the robot, key, and box. It caused a stir when originally introduced because they were being confused with originals. The "Japan" was dropped after a short run. The robot is approximately 8.5 inches tall. Robot show light signs of wear throughout as pictured. Box also shows wear along edges as pictured.
