1910 G&k Greppert & Kelch Horse And Carriage Tin Litho Wind Up Toy Germany

PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE LISTING & VIEW ALL PHOTOS BEFORE PURCHASING Thank you. Rare Early Large Greppert & Kelch Horse Drawn Carriage wind up tin toy, reportedly circa 1910/1920. This made in Germany tin horse and carriage bears the familiar G&K badge on both sides just below the driver's seat. The horse and front wheels can be positioned to move in a circular pattern or a straight line.

The toy is in nice condition, with dust staining, scattered scratches and wear to the paint, and with some restoration: The top of the driver's seat back is replaced, as is the seat back dividing the passenger's seat and luggage/jump seat, and both of the step pads (all nicely done). All of the paint on both the horse and the carriage, (other than on the replacements mentioned above) is 100% original and in nice condition being 100+ years old. The wheels wobble a little but they are not loose. The wind up works very well and propels the carriage quite a few feet while the horse "gallops" back and forth. The driver's arms are also articulated and will move up and down a bit being pulled by the reins.
