1915s Fernand Martin/Distler Chinaman Tightrope Circus Acrobat Wind-up Tin Toy. An extremely rare and early Circus tin toy depicting a very charming Chinaman Acrobat going hand-over-hand along the high wire. Cloth dressed lithographed and painted tin figure, elaborate and sturdy internal clockwork mechanism causes man performs a hand-over-hand walking along the high wire (not supplied) moving his legs at the same time. Inches (20 cm) height (including hands). Some visible scratching to hands and somewhat worn clothes with minor stains here and there. This is the only one. Ive ever seen in my 38 years in the toy market and Im sure it would be a great addition to any early toy or circus collection. We've been serving Collectors and Dealers for over 38 years!
