You are viewing an antique 1910's 14 inch Windup Tin Lithograph Walbert Ferry Boat. It was made by the Walbert Mfg Co. It has a clockwork windup mechanism. The key must be screwed into place before winding. When wound, it propels forward and the pantograph on the top rocks forward and back as if to be allowing the engines to operate and release the combustion. If it bumps into something it will reverse directions and sound a bell before moving in another direction. It is in near mint condition considering the age of about 100 years. There is spot on one end that appears to have had tape on it. The residue is still in place. It can be removed easily with adhesive remover. It would make a fantastic addition to any collection. Please see my other listings for more antique and collectible items and other windup toys. Please ask questions if you have any! Most of my items are vintage. They naturally show wear from age and use. You are ultimately responsible for viewing photos and asking questions.
