Crack on the lower left side. Small piece of wood missing on upper right side.
The keys are unattached and some are missing and or broken. The art on front is cracking, and some has peeled. Top is nailed down but lifts off easily due to nail holes getting large over time. I have done some very minor paint touch up to areas where it was never painted or sloppily done.
The top has paint loss and scratches. Large scratch on front wood.I have touched up the keys and adding aging wax. I have sealed the art with shellac hoping it will prevent further damage/peeling.
I have waxed and buffed the item. See third photo for measurements. The last photo shows the before and after of the keys. This is not a comprehensive list of the issues but the major ones that I see. Keep in mind, it is an antique and for its age it is in good condition. This is an antique Schoenhut child's toy piano from the 1800s. The piano features cherubs and ladies dancing and is suitable for children aged 3-16 years and adults aged 17 years and up.
It is a vintage item and is made by the brand Schoenhut.
