The lithographed tin wind-up Toonerville Trolley was made by H. The toy dimensions are 7" at the highest point, 5" long & 3 wide.
The Skipper stands in front & works the tiller to steer the trolley. When wound the trolley rolls forward & the eccentric wheels with offset axel cause the toy to wobble & shake. The toy works very well & the motor is strong. The condition of the toy is quite outstanding with great color, glossy finish, bright & clean with very little evident play wear. The toy would qualify as near mint except for 1 inexplicable flaw to the litho on the side with the key wind.
Just above the letters RO there is a smear or rub out of the litho about the size of the pad of my pinky. If I were to speculate how this happened I would guess that a careless factory worker accidentally touched the litho before the paint was totally dry. This blemish did not occur from playing with the toy. The reproduction box is identical in design to the original & is very well made.
