GEBR. FLEISCHMANN 18 CLOCKWORK OCEAN LINER Ca. 1930 RESTORED

Fleischmann 18" / 46 cm Twin Funnel Clockwork Ocean Liner Restored - 18" L x 9.5" H x 4" W. 18 clockwork ocean liner manufactured in Germany by Gebrüder Fleischmann. This charming, early 20th century, tin toy boat has been faithfully restored as near as possible to its original appearance. Twin funnels, four lifeboats, masts with cargo booms, handrail, masthead pennants and flags. This boat arrived largely intact, though with a dented hull, missing one davit and one ventilator - both replaced with original Fleischmann parts obtained from Joe Freeman at Tin Toy Works.

The flags at the bow and stern are newly fabricated. The model retains some evidence of minor damage to the face of the Bridge and port Bridge wing. For the sake of consistency, the original rigging "S" hooks have been replaced with newly made facsimiles; however the original hooks will be included with the toy.

The liner measures 18" (46 cm) in length, not including flags, and 9.5" (24 cm) in height overall. There is no key and the clockwork motor has not been tested.
