GEBR. FLEISCHMANN 24 CLOCKWORK OCEAN LINER Ca. 1930 RESTORED

Fleischmann 24" Clockwork Twin Funnel Ocean Liner Restored - 24" L x 15" H x 4.5" W. A beautifully restored example of a large, early 20th century ocean liner from Gebrüder Fleischmann. This magnificent, vintage, tin toy boat arrived in the shop in excellent physical condition, though unfortunately over-painted entirely in grey enamel. The liner features twin funnels, two masts, eight cargo booms, eight lifeboats in davits, masthead pennants, flags, anchor winch and anchor. There is a key that fits, though it may not be original to the toy.

The clockwork motor is functional and the screw turns freely. This was repaired and the original sections of the wire halyard were retained and will be included. Also, the two mast-mounting posts were separated from the deck, and these were re-soldered.

Parts that are newly fabricated are the eight cargo booms, the bow and stern flags and all rigging hooks and rings. The anchor is a new Amati fitting.
