This is whimsical wind-up toy depicting the comical Edgar Bergen ventriloquist dummy "Mortimer Snerd" -- a well known character who often appeared along side Bergen's main dummy Charlie McCarthy. The wind up mechanism works well, and sends Snerd tottering along on oversized feet.
