Vintage 1950s mechanical Fishing Monkey on Whales, wind-up tin litho toy made by TPS in Japan, measures appx. 9 long with original box.

Built in key wind-up toy moves back and forth, fins flap, and whale moves side to side. This tin litho wind-up illustrates the greatness of Japanese toy design and imagination. What's not there to like? It's a monkey on a whale fishing!

See all pics for general idea of condition. Box top has typical crushing with some creases and a couple small tears at corners with small 1/4 closed tear at top of box; box bottom is nicer with minor normal wear.

Working condition; overall condition of the piece is very nice but I'll try to point out a few minor flaws; left front red fin has a very minor paint nick; the top of whale has a few very minor paint "scratches" more like rubs that cannot be felt; bottom of whale has a couple very minor paint nicks that can be felt; fishing pole has some rubbed areas with finishing loss near bottom; monkey is very nice with a couple minor paint nicks at hat; again, overall impression is very nice with very light wear; see pics.
