This trolley was made by Morton E. Converse and Company circa 1905. It is a wind-up toy and has a large spring mechanism to drive it. It has 6 seats that reverse like the real trolley.
On the roof is a 6-inch stamped-steel trolley pole. There are mounting brackets for 3 destination boards, (the tabs for the fourth board are broken off) although the boards are missing from this toy. This is the Converse floor toy, not the Lionel electric trolley, but the sheet metal is the same. The item "Vintage City Hall Park 175 Union Depot Trolley Wind-up" is in sale since Friday, April 24, 2020.
