Vintage Shanghai Toys Equatorial War Drum MS 859, clockwork windup China-RARE

Vintage windup Equatorial War Drum MS859 drummer made in China around the 1960's in the Shanghai Toys no. Extremely rare and only 6000 pieces ever produced. The whole structure seems to be made from metal and the head seems to be a rubber material and the arms a plastic material.

His body is covered in cotton clothing which has holes and fraying. The drum is made from a cardboard material and very delicate. Amazing to have survived all these years! Comes with a large key which looks original. When i wound it he did move up and down and his arms moved up and down. But the mechanism is stiff and kept stopping. It will need looking at and possibly oiling to make it run smoothly without stopping halfway.

Also the toy is a bit loose and moves backwards a bit when you push it. I have attached the last picture to show what this toy looks like if it was complete.

It also originally came with a small tin machine gun which i do not have or the box. This is extremely rare in any condition, and i have never seen another before for sale. This toy is only for serious toy collectors! I do not charge for shiping. I have not take it apart to see the internal workings of it or attempted to fix or clean it, so I can not give any information about this.
