Vintage Antique Walking Cattle/Steer/Cow Tin Wind Up Toy Made In US-Zone Germany. This remarkable walking tin wind up toy has survived the test of time and shows very little signs of rust. Of course there is naturally some wear and tear for an item such as this. While it is truly a unique treasure, what makes it more so is what is printed underneath on its belly: Made in US-Zone Germany. The body is made of tin while the tail is made from what appears to be threads from a course rope.

The horns are perhaps Bakelite and the ears appear to be made of felt. Please note that one felt ear is missing so be patient when calling out for it to come home. Although the key shown in the photos is a perfect fit, I cannot guarantee that its this items original key. That being said, when properly inserted and turned clockwise, life is once again breathed into this timeless toy treasure. While it may be a bit slow at first (we all would be as well); after all these years, its not only impressive to see it, its also exciting to actually watch it Mooooo-ve once again.
