Vintage Wyandotte Man On The Flying Trapeze # 516 Wind Up Toy
Pictured here is a vintage "Man On the Flying Trapeze" wind up toy manufactured by Wyandotte Toys in the 1940's. The condition is very good and consistent with age and easy going play. The colors are still bright with minimal paint loss. He does work, but needs a little coaxing and preparation at times.
He is not an easy one to find and there is no noted damage. Please refer to the photos for the best look.
He certainly will display well. He measures 9" tall and 4" wide. Directions: The spacer to position the winding catch has long since crumbled away, so you need to wind by hand as follows: 1.Lean the trapeze all the way back so the bottom is facing you (see photo). Hand position the winding catch with the long side parallel to the top of the platform as seen in the last photo. Wind the toy turning the key clockwise.
