Vintage Marusan Tin Toy Submarine. This vintage tin toy is the Nautilus SSN 571 made by the iconic company Marusan Toys in Japan circa 1950s - 1960s.

This is a wind up tin toy of the famous atomic nuclear submarine of the same name and number. Both taking their names from the fictional submarine in Jules Verne's Twenty Thousand Leagues Under The Sea. The top of the submarine has a missile launcher on one end and is marked with the Marusan "SAN" logo and "Made in Japan" near the launcher. The detailing is excellent with lettering in very good or better condition overall. The wind up handle still makes the propeller spin.

A truly wonderful find for any collector, this vintage submarine is certain to make the perfect addition to your collection. This vintage toy submarine is in very good or better vintage condition. Very minor paint wear for a toy of this age.

There is some minimal paint wear to edges with some small scuffs. The paint on the top is mostly preserved.

The underside has a few moderate scratches or scuffs to paint. Exceptionally minimal wear to the metal / tin itself. There is a plastic attachment piece near the head of the toy that appears broken or chipped, otherwise a very nice piece. 14 1/2" in length and 2 1/2" wide.
