Barbalala a Green 4 1/2 tall vinyl Character Squeeze toy. Barbabelle a Purple 4 1/2 tall vinyl Character Squeeze toy.

The names of the Characters named above do not appear on each toy, the characters are described with images in cartoons on the internet. I believe they were originally made of soft vinyl, however after 48 years the vinyl hardened and probably accounts for the squeaker not working.
